We Want to Know

You may receive a survey in the mail from us after you go home. We want to know your opinion of the care you received at Saint Alphonsus. Your answers help us see our services through your eyes. Please fill out the survey and send it back.

Understanding Your Hospital Bill

As a courtesy to you, the hospital will submit bills to your insurance company and will do everything possible to expedite your claim. You should remember that your policy is a contract between you and your insurance company, and you have the final responsibility for payment of your hospital bill. We have several payment options available to assist you in meeting your financial obligation.

Your deductible/copayments are expected at the time of service. Payments can be made at any Admitting/Patient Registration area. We accept cash, checks, and all major credit cards.

Depending on your insurance coverage, you may have additional financial responsibilities beyond the deductible and copayment amounts. Any balance after your insurance payment is received will then be your responsibility. Saint Alphonsus will not send your first hospital billing statement until your insurance has processed your claim. You will also receive a statement if your insurance has not responded to our request for payment in a timely manner. It is important to contact your insurance if you receive this statement. For more information about your billing statement, please call (208) 367-2130.
