In addition, Karl Keeler, CEO, states,

Breast Care Center at the Nampa Health Plaza

continuum of care consists of digital mam
mography, ultrasound and biopsy at the Breast
Care Center, to surgery at the main campus,
to now treatment at our new Cancer Care

patient navigator. Patients no longer need to

Fluoroscope
A stateoftheart fuoroscope was installed in Radiology. Te fuoroscopy is utilized
to produce images by passing small, highly controlled amounts of radiation through the
body and capturing the resulting shadows and refections on flm. Most people are familiar
with xray images, which produce still pictures. Using little radiation, fuoroscopy uses
xrays to capture moving images of an organ while it is functioning. For instance, in cardiac
medicine it can be used to see the fow of blood through the coronary arteries.
Keeler states, “Continuing to expand and create new services close to home for our
patients and communities we serve is truly making the critical diference in the healthcare
we deliver. Nampa’s community hospital, now Saint Alphonsus Medical Center – Nampa,
has been serving thousands of patients for almost 100 years, and we are committed to
keeping our promise of delivering quality care to Canyon County and surrounding areas.”
