Patient Relations
Saint Alphonsus is committed to addressing all feedback related to patient-care programs and services. Input regarding care from patients, their advocates, or visitors provides valuable information that can be applied to improve service and care processes.
The Patient Relations Coordinator is a point of entry into the hospital for patients or their advocates to express concerns, complaints, or messages of thanks regarding patient care. The Patient Relations Coordinator will take a lead role in facilitating the internal-review process with a focus on client relations, information sharing, and conflict resolution.
The Patient Relations Coordinator will respond to all inquiries about the hospital’s services. We will follow up with others in the hospital, when appropriate, and respond back to you with the results of the investigation. To contact Patient Relations, call (208) 367-6226.
Social Work and Case Management
Personnel from this department are on hand to assist patients with their needs. Saint Alphonsus Social Work and Case Management staff can also provide information to patients and their families on home healthcare, medical equipment, extended-care facilities, transportation, Meals On Wheels, and other community resources. Please ask your nurse for more information.
Chaplaincy Services
Our hospital chaplains are available every day to listen to your spiritual needs and to provide you with spiritual support regardless of your faith. If you prefer, we will contact your own minister. If you need to reach a chaplain from inside the hospital, dial “0” and ask the operator to connect you with the on-call chaplain. From outside the hospital, dial (208) 367-2121 and ask the operator to connect you with the on-call chaplain.
A Catholic priest is available for Catholic Mass and Sacraments of Reconciliation, Holy Communion, and the Sacrament of the Sick.
Chapel
Our chapel is located on the first floor of the Central Tower and is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week. You and your family are welcome
to use the chapel at any time for prayer, reflection, or just to welcome a moment of quiet and peace.
Interpreter Services
Saint Alphonsus provides language services at no charge for all major languages. Please ask your nurse or physician for help.
